As a Registered Training Organisation, the SES complies with all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, including OH&S, Equal Opportunity, Anti-discrimination and Privacy legislation.

As a registered training organisation, the SES offers the following qualifications:

• Certificate II in Public Safety (SES Rescue)
• Certificate II in Public Safety (SES Operations)
• Certificate III in Public Safety (SES Rescue)
• Certificate III in Public Safety (SES Operations)
• Certificate IV in Public Safety (SES Leadership)
• Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training

SES trainers have the skills and experience in adult education to ensure that volunteers receive safe and competent training, adhere to high standards of training delivery, promote and support success in learning and respect the dignity, values and self-esteem of participants.

Training opportunities vary between units according to their roles.
