The toolkit is simple to use following 6 easy steps to prepare a fully customisable Business FloodSafe Plan. The State Emergency Service has identifidied a number of Impacts floods may have on your business and actions that you can undertake now and/or always, before a flood, during a flood and after a flood. The following screen shots provide an overview of how the Business FloodSafe Toolkit works.
1. Register with an email address and password to log into the Business FloodSafe Toolkit.
2. Enter your businesses details.
3. Potential Impacts on your business are provided with suggested actions. You can prioritise how these Impacts may affect your business and add others.
4. For each Impact we have provided suggest Actions that can be undertaken now and/or always, before a flood, during a flood and after a flood. Add more or delete those that do not apply to your business.
5. Each Action can be customised with how to do it, who will do it, what is required and how long it may take.
6. Identify triggers to assist you when actions need to be undertaken.
7. Create contact lists of staff, emergency services and other organisations.
8. Your plan is completed and can be edited, viewed online, printed or downloaded.
