The Bureau of Meteorology - working with the SES The Bureau of Meteorology - working with the SES

The SES and the Bureau of Meteorology work together to provide the public with accurate and up to date information on severe weather events.

The SES and the Bureau of Meteorology work together in many ways to ensure public safety in severe weather events.

This includes providing the SES with information on forthcoming significant weather events thus enabling the SES to best prepare its' physical and volunteer resources to ensure a quick and effective response to any weather-created damage. The Bureau also keep the SES informed of the development and movement of severe storms, of flood heights, rainfall and wind data and other important information vital to an effective SES emergency response.

The SES and the Bureau of Meteorology have developed cross-links to their respective web pages to provide the public with information on important safety information from Bureau warnings, and to relevant warnings from SES stories on significant weather related emergency responses.
