O'Brien is Australia's market leader for both automotive and building glass replacement. Since 2005 O'Brien have been supporting the SES through the donation of equipment to SES units across NSW. This has included equipment for road crash rescue, general rescue and flood and storm response. Locations that have received equipment include the Sydney metropolitan, Kempsey, Port Macquarie, Newcastle, Lismore, Dubbo, Gosford, Wyong and Orange.

In addition to equipment donations, O'Brien has supported the SES with fundraising events hosting windscreen chip and crack charity repair days with all proceeds from these events being donated directly to local SES units.

O'Brien has also supported the SES in educating the community about the dangers of floods and storms in the production of brochures and fridge magnets containing key safety messages and phone numbers.
