Blacktown FloodSafe Guide

The Hawkesbury and Nepean rivers and their tributaries (South Creek and Eastern Creek) have created a beautiful environment, but the very nature of this landscape leaves it prone to flooding.

In the past, areas of Riverstone, Schofields and Vineyard have experienced flooding. Much larger floods are possible that would inundate greater parts of these communities and also sections of Marsden Park, Colebee, Shanes Park and Quakers Hill. As well as flooding from the local creeks, there could be flooding from backwater from the Hawkesbury River.
