Oliver Lambley
Oliver Lambley Aberdeen Unit Congratulations Oliver, who was named 'Aberdeen Citizen of the Year' as well as 'Citizen of the Upper Hunter Shire' at Australia Day ceremony and celebrations in Aberdeen. Oliver Lambley was involved in lifting furniture and saving cattle outside of Aberdeen during the great Hunter River flood of 1955 and has been involved with the SES since, recently receiving the 50 years long service award. Oliver has performed many roles including road crash rescue and storm damage operations. Now 72, he continues to train and work in the operations area during floods and other operations. Oliver has been involved with local schools, Scouts, Pony Club, St John's Church, Captain of the Dangarfield Fire Brigade (1966 - 1973) and the Aberdeen Lions Club, to name a few. Again, congratulations Oliver. Worthy recognition of your community work and spirit. |
